Biography and information

Born in the city of Sterlitamak, Ufa province. From a military family. Formal art education is not received, the sculpture is worked independently (1884), became acquainted with the technique of sculpting in the studios of sculptors. With the aim of exploring works of art in museums made the trip to Paris (1885). Was a volunteer at the Imperial Academy of arts (1886-1887) of the Department of sculpture.
