A graduate of the Academy of Arts from 1788 he Received medals: in 1801 - 2 silver; in 1802, 1 silver and 2 gold for the program: "Jupiter and mercury visiting in the form of pilgrims Philemon and Beskidu"; in 1803 - 1 gold for the program: "the Priests and the soldiers kill daggers two Christians of the Vikings"; in the same year he received the diploma of 1 degree with a sword and left at the Academy for improvement. In 1805 he was appointed overseer for sculptures at the art Academy; in 1813 the title of academician of the sculpture for figures: "Europe" and "Africa", intended for the facade of the Admiralty.
