Painter, restorer of the highest category, member of the Union of artists of Russia, member of international Federation of artists "UNESCO". He graduated from art – graphic faculty of the Moscow pedagogical Institute. Participated in over 25 exhibitions in Russia and abroad (Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Veliky Novgorod, Rybinsk, Madrid (Spain), Berlin (Germany), Trento (Italy), etc.

His art carries the distinctive properties of modern Moscow school – the diversity, complexity, raznolikosti ... But the main thing in his work is the ability to see the majestic in the everyday, the taste and sense of proportion. And yet – a sense of beauty and harmony of life are the essence of the artist. With Borovichi region N. Sharkov is closely linked to its roots (paternal side), life and work. Favorite mstinskiy village (Opechenskiy Posad, Opechen-sky Row, a Great Threshold, etc.), beautiful surroundings, the paintings are the artist's poetic and reverent.

Works by the artist are in the Moscow Museum of theatrical art im. Bakhrushin, the State Museum of art culture of the Novgorod region, the Rybinsk historical and art Museum is four museums in Germany, in the gallery "Tani" (Madrid), in numerous private collections in Russia and abroad. Borovichi Museum, the artist gave a lot of work, "the River Msta in winter"(1994).
