Biography and information

All labor and creative life passed in Krasnoyarsk. In addition to the art school, he taught sculpture and drawing in secondary schools in the city. Urban and all-Siberian art exhibitions were not only as a sculptor but as a painter. In his work, the priests remained to the end a consistent realist. Here, undoubtedly, was influenced by the Surikova, with whom the sculptor met at each arrival of Vasily Ivanovich in his hometown. The sculptor has not survived to our days, as they were made mostly in soft material. All who saw the works of A. G. Popov, mention among the best such as "the Boy after bathing", "Loader", "Rustic horse", "Portrait of V. I. Surikov" and the song "Down with the war ! We beat weapons into plows".
