Son volvooceanrace. From 1824 to 1836 he studied at the Academy of art medallic art in the class of P. P. Utkin. Molding from nature was awarded the silver medals of the 1st and 2nd dignity, for “cut steel” gold medal 2-th value. In 1836, being awarded a small gold medal, left at the Academy. In 1839 for the cut out on the steel group “Hercules strangling the ante” was awarded the title of academician of art medal. February 10, 1840, he occupied the position of assistant Director of the Ekaterinburg lapidary works of art section. From 1868 to 1884 — the Director of the Ekaterinburg lapidary factory. Known as the author of independent projects, vases, fireplaces, overlays, tile, table boards, including malachite vases and bowls.
