Valentin
Nazarovich Borisenko

Member of the Union of artists of the USSR.

(b. 1929, Chernihiv region) - people's artist of USSR (1976). Laureate of the state prize T. G. Shevchenko(1978). He graduated from the Kiev College of applied iskusstva (1947), the Lviv Institute of Decorative and applied iskusstva (1953), was a lecturer at the same University in 1959, and since 1979 has held the post of rector, received the title of Professor (1977). In 1985-88 he was the rector of the Kiev Art Institute.
