Honored artist of Ukraine (1983). B. 6 Dec 1929 in Kharkiv. Graduated from the Kharkov school of applied art (1946-49), where he studied with I. Roar, V. Sokolov, N. Ryabinina. HO member of the CFS since 1960. The participant of Republican, all-Union and international exhibitions since 1957. Laureate of the state prize of the USSR them. T. G. Shevchenko (1977). In the 1990s, he left for the USA.
