Biography and information

Kotov, Vladimir Ivanovich(1944-1989).

Honored artist of the RSFSR.

Laureate of Lenin Komsomol prize(1977).

Member of the Union of artists of the USSR.

 

Born October 16, 1944 in Bryansk.

1968-graduated from Leningrad higher art-industrial school im. V. Mukhina.

1968-1988 an artist at the Dyatkovo crystal plant(Bryansk region)

 

A versatile talent, vigorous energy, a huge capacity for work enabled the artist, who gave almost 20 years of Dyatkovo crystal factory, to realize their creative potential, become interesting, bright and original author.

The artworks Kotova diverse style and genres, methods of decorating, from meticulous hand-engraving to a simple smooth object decorated with a color.

He chose paint catchy, intense, close to the actual color relationships in nature.

 

Major works:

"The village wedding", "Winter evening", "Golden autumn", "Khokhloma", "Flock", "Born in fire".

Separate theme in the artist's work was the creation of chandeliers that adorn the House of the government of Cuba, conference Hall “President-Hotel” Olympic complex in Moscow,the library of the Academy of fine arts, the Museum of carpet in Baku, the rest House in Zvenigorod crystal Museum in Dyatkovo.

Participant of group exhibition of glass artists at the Dyatkovo crystal plant in Moscow (1971).

International exhibitions:

1979-Jablonec nad Nisou, Czechoslovakia,1980, Bucharest, Romania, 1984 in Finland.

Works are in the Bryansk regional artistic Museum and exhibition center,HAUK "Museum Dyatkovo crystal".

 

Died 7 Nov 1989.
