Valentin A.

A member of the Union of artists of Ukraine, senior lecturer of the Odessa art College named. M. B. Grekova.

He was born in Zhytomyr, was fond of drawing since childhood, and the inclination of the character and circumstances of life (studies in military school) established by 19-year-old strong-willed, determined and independent in judgment of a young man. This he did in 1968 on the art – graphic faculty of Odessa pedagogical Institute. Perhaps, therefore, Mr. wise was at the Institute of teachers, but no Teacher. Creative biography of the master – a vivid example of the proverbial "self-made-man" - "man who created himself". Soon after graduation, he became a lecturer in the faculty of painting of art – graphic faculty.

Since 1990, Valentin Zakharchenko works in the Odessa art school. M. Grekov. Over the years the master has created a series of expressive portraits, they somehow oleskelusi significantly look into the world of the picture plane ("Portrait in red", "portrait of the artist N. Salutnomo"). Its symbolic and monumental compositions (for example, triptych "Morning", "Noon", "Sunset"), filled with a trembling shimmer of hot colors, are so tightly linked that become almost tangible the intention of "spilling out" beyond the canvas.

Favorite artists Zakharchenko are atsmanchuk and Egorov. But there is no disposition of the "mentor – student". His canvases – "easel and monumental", sometimes suddenly secession exquisitely pale, with subtle tonal nuancemobile ("Silence"), and more – Ukrainian–convex–Baroque ("early spring," "Portrait of Ira"), juicy ("still life with watermelon") decorative ("Near Langeron"), philosophical ("Autumn motive") is evidenced by: Valentin Zakharchenko is not a disciple, he is an associate of the most famous, the most worthy in Odessa painters of the twentieth century.
