He graduated from the Kiev art Institute. He worked in easel and monumental sculpture. Author of numerous monuments in Ukraine and abroad. His work has captured the portraits of prominent personalities. Participated in many art exhibitions. Honored artist of the Ukrainian SSR. Professor. Winner of the Stalin prize for 1951 the monument to Taras Shevchenko (together with Alexander Oleinik). Lived and worked in Kiev.
