Before the revolution he lived in Paris, published jointly. with Ilya Ehrenburg, by P. Chekanova (painter), O. Leshchinsky (poet) Zh. "Helios" (1913-14). In 1917 he returned to Russia, lived and worked in Moscow, 1928 in Leningrad. In 1932-34 approached the group of students Malevich (especially V. N. Ermolaeva). Studied painting and book. graphics. Arrested (1934, on the same day Ermolaeva), and later executed.

Native village Bronivka proskurovskogo. Podolsk province., he studied at the art school and the Russian Academy in Paris, artist-sculptor, before his arrest, the teacher modeling the Children's art school of the Vyborg district, lived: Leningrad, Bolshoi Okhtinsky prospect, 53, 8 sq. Arrested on 26 Dec 1934 a Special meeting of the NKVD of the USSR on March 29, 1935-sentenced under article 58-10 part 1 of the criminal code of the RSFSR to 5 years of labor camp. He served his sentence in Karlag, then in Dmitlage, where he worked as a quantity surveyor prodbase at 1-m Dmitrov station. He was arrested again on 25 January 1938 the NKVD Troika of the Moscow region on 2 February 1938 sentenced for "counterrevolutionary propaganda among the prisoners" to capital punishment. Shot in Moscow (Butovo polygon NKVD) February 5, 1938
