Was born in Kiev. Doctor of technical Sciences, honored scientist and technician of Ukraine, laureate of the State prize of Ukraine in science and technology.
In 1954 he graduated from the Kiev construction engineering Institute, in 1965 - postgraduate studies at the Academy of architecture and construction Sciences.
The main directions of scientific work - the applied theory of plasticity, bearing capacity of spatial structures, optimal design. Author of over 200 scientific works, including 8 monographs and textbooks for higher educational institutions. Handbook of theory of elasticity, prepared with the assistance of A. Dekhtyar, translated by Czech, Hungarian and Chinese.
Publications: "the Limiting equilibrium of shells" (Karl, 1977), "Bearing capacity tonkostennykh structures" (Kyiv, 1990) ; "Form and load-bearing capacity of shells-coverings" (Tashkent, 1988); "Computer graphics: examples and tasks of Autocad" (Karl,1988) - all in collaboration.
Teaching started at the National Academy of fine arts and architecture as a senior lecturer in structural mechanics, 1965, later - Professor of the Department.
