Born in 1955 in the city of Sverdlovsk.
In 1983 he graduated from art school p. P. Hozhateleva. (teachers – Y. Kiselev, V. Starov, Leonid Khabarov).
Since 1987 – a participant of numerous exhibitions.
Works in the genre of still life and urban landscape. In Romanov called "the Ural impressionist" - he always writes light, airy paintings depicting moments.
Paintings are in private collections in Russia and abroad - in Germany, USA, Norway, South Korea etc.
