Honored worker of culture of Russia P. E Seskin was born on 24 June 1930 in the village of Lombovozh Berezovsky district of the Tyumen region.

From an early age the future master began to draw, sculpt from clay toys, to carve figurines out of wood. At the local exhibitions of his work constantly took the first places. Since the late 50-ies P. E. Seskin participated in County fairs, and later in the regional, national and international. The artist's work was in the Institute of Ethnography, Institute of art industry.

Pyotr Yefimovich was a wonderful storyteller, very sociable person. Richly endowed by nature, as if he embodied the soul of the Mansi people. Sculptures, drawings, writing and performance of songs, literature, picking up ornaments, folklore, the study of the vocabulary of the native language, ethnographic looking, photography, social activities – so diverse were the interests of the master. With him, not having even a secondary school education, was consulted by the researchers-philologists, ethnographers, folklorists.

Talented sculptor nugget are invited to live in Novosibirsk, Khanty-Mansiysk, Surgut, but he refused to end he lived in his native land – in Lombovozh, and then in the village of Sosva of the Berezovsky district. After the death of P. E. Shashkina in 1981 to the Museum of the village of Berezovo were transferred to the voluminous archives of the artist: albums, ornaments, diaries, correspondence, two pieces Mansi language, recorded stories, Mansi folk sayings, riddles, songs composed them, as well as sculptures, paintings, drawings.
