The personality of Pavel Afanasyevich Rossomagina (1986-1956) is a talented historian, scientist, archaeologist, artist unique. He was one of the founders of the provincial Museum, organizer and active member of the Society for the study of the local region. Diverse and rich social activities do not interfere with the artist actively work creatively. Talent Rossomagina most evident in the genre of landscape. So, a special place in his work took the Caucasian motives. The nature of the Caucasus: the mother-of-pearl tops of the mountains and valleys, gorges and waterfalls, fruit, flowering trees - the first time they captured a small picturesque sketches in 1910-ies and later be present in his work. "...A manner of painting developed its own special. From the first glance it may seem a strange bright colors, unnatural, but if you observe nature, capture its essence, my figures seem quite natural, the real... the Main purpose of my quest in painting is to see the beauty of nature and to teach others to see it". Numerous works by Rossomagina combined into a single series of "the seasons", he with fine craftsmanship and love conveys the unique beauty and originality of the Siberian nature: blazing in gold autumn season, in the foam of blossoming Apple trees and lilacs. But perhaps most of all, the artist likes to write buried in snowdrifts ancient wooden houses and fences, as well as frozen in the silence of the tiny tree with a complex pattern of the branches, clearly stands out against the background, or on white sparkling snow. Small in size, devoid of any effects, they fascinate the lyricism and the special musicality.
