Description of the artwork «Paradoxes of Russia or the Link of Times»

Initially, the picture was conceived as the left part of the triptych "Paradoxes of Russia or the Link of Times". This theme can be traced throughout the artist's work, so this name is often found among his works.

"This guy once lived in our yard. When it came time to serve in the army, he ended up in the war. Once I met him begging in the passage, it brought him up on a canvas. He said that he fought, burned in an APC, he was concussed , eventually became disabled. The tragedy is that his mother died, his sister got drunk, the apartment was somehow lost - now he is nobody and nowhere. At first he lived with me, then I helped him get a job in a nursing home. He posed for me in workshop, but the moment depicted on the canvas existed in reality. I saw how two girls suitable for this guy as a bride gave him money. For the picture, students posed for me, the viola violin Anya Kuznetsova and the guitarist Yulia, and in the background Boris Shcherbakov with a doll and me. "A. Drilev
