Born in 1954 in Estonia. In 1975 he graduated from Simferopol art school named after N. With.Samokish. Since the mid 70-ies confidently and purposefully started searching for his “plastic language” in painting. Vladimir Korotchenko works in different genres, a variety of techniques - graphics, painting, monumental-decorative art, and is unique to his handwriting, writing style, style. The artist is a constant participant of regional and Republican exhibitions.

Since the late 90-ies repeatedly held his solo exhibitions in Crimea, Kiev, Moscow, St.-Petersburg, in Herrenberg (Germany).

His paintings and graphic works exhibited in many cities near and far go abroad. Many artistic images of the author an unusual, often inspired by dreams and immerse the viewer in a completely unique world.

Hallmark artist is a painting “From time immemorial” that combines fantastic image ...turtles and realistic landscape....... (compound of reality and fiction). Vladimir works closely with writers – authors of fiction, illustrated books and magazines.

More than three hundred works are in private collections in England, Germany, Spain, Latvia, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, USA, Turkey, France, Switzerland, and South Africa. Work shake their philosophical thought, inner peace, and diversity. In an interview, Vladimir said, “an Artist is someone who pours his feelings on the canvas. He does not adapt, but at the same time self-critical. Art - when seen leaves no one indifferent. Paint materials - means of achieving this. If you see yourself, you will see many...”

Currently lives and works in Simferopol.
