Swiss citizen. Student of the Imperial Academy of Arts, he was doing it under the supervision of Professor Vitali and for his work received the award: 2nd silver medal — 27 Sep 1849 in bust of the architect Montferrand (formerly on the academic exhibition in 1849, casting in plaster, and in 1850 made of colored marbles); 1st silver medal — 23 Dec 1852 in clay modeling from life (bust of Professor Vitali, who is in the Academy of fine Arts), and 2nd gold — September 24, 1853 for the execution of the program the statue to the growth of the "rest of Adonis", and then erected was 28 Sept. In 1859 the title of artist of the 14th class.
