Stanislav
Pobytov

Russia • born in 1967 • artist, collector
At the moment (2006) he lives and works in the city of Tver.

The basis of his creativity are landscapes of the middle belt of Russia, made in the style of Dutch painters, combined with modern techniques. This method is the best way to convey the effects of light and air. An example of this is a series of works under the general title "The Magic of Sunset", where the subject is given secondary importance, and in the first place the experiments with color and space.

The artist's early works are influenced by Surrealism, which, in combination with his forest landscapes, produced an unexpected result.

This is how fairy-tale, slightly gloomy pictures of views of nature appeared, populated by strange creatures, where human faces can be guessed in the tree tops, and mushrooms cannot be found because they can easily be mistaken for trees.

The artist has a tremendous capacity for work and an inexhaustible imagination, probably because of this Stanislav, despite his young age as an artist, has many exhibitions in Tver and several personal exhibitions in Moscow galleries, which were a particular success, most of the works were sold out as domestic art lovers, and its foreign connoisseurs.
