Kungur D. was born in Urzhum district of the Kirov region.
One of the first graduates of the art–graphic faculty of the Chuvash state pedagogical Institute I. Yakovlev, disciple N. Ovchinnikov and A. Mitova. Made a great contribution to the development of Chuvash national art. His first work "the Road will overcome the walking" has attracted the attention of painters. Many buildings painted with his hands. The author of the decorative ceramic mosaic composition "Tree of life" at the ends of houses along the Avenue of the 9th five–year plan, "Space fantasy" in Shorshely, the first ornamental compositions on the façade of the Cheboksary music school. In addition to time-consuming, complex monumental works the artist created many paintings. Known for his series of paintings on the theme of unity of man and nature, rural labor.
