Biography and information

Vladimir Genske (1925-1984)

Born in 1925 in a large German family in Kiev.
In 1948 came to Kyiv glass termeni factory (later Kiev factory of artistic glass),where he started as an apprentice painter,then worked as a master painter and master deep etching (Galle).
In 1959 he was transferred to the position of the artist, however, art education he never received.

For the first time his works were exhibited at the exhibition "Soviet Ukraine",Moscow, 1960. The real talent of the master appeared in a coloured glass free form( free-blown technique).
His original works were exhibited in Austria, Yugoslaviatoday, and in 1982 in Kiev at the exhibition "Ukrainian art glass."

1970 - member of the Artists Union of the USSR.

Passed away in 1984, and a year MUNDI (national Museum
Ukrainian decorative folk art) staged the first solo exhibition of the artist.
