Painter. Member of the Union of artists of the USSR.

He studied at the art Academy of Latvia (1937 – 43, 1945 – 47) and graduated with thesis "Restoring the river" (under the direction of G. Elias).

The artist was an instructor at the liepāja secondary school of applied arts (1947 – 50), worked in the Studio portraits in the plant “Māksla”.

In exhibitions he participated since 1949.

Personal exhibitions are organized in Riga (1968, 1975, 1980 – 87 (every year), 1990, 1994), Sinole and Mezotne (1976), sauries (1984), Ainazi (1985, 1989), Anymouse (1986), Ligatne and the Ogre (1987), Toronto, Canada (1991).

The artist is Tretyakovskiy gallery in Moscow.
