Member of the Union of artists of the USSR.15.02.1924 was born in the city Kirovabad(Ganja) of Azerbaijan SSR. He graduated with honors from the Yerevan art and theatre Institute.The author of many great sculptures including the monument to the famous hero of the Azerbaijani epics - the Imam established in Yerevan.(later after the beginning of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, the monument was demolished) In the 60s-70s Kerim continued its work in Baku where he worked until the end of life. August 18, 1982, the year the outstanding Azerbaijani sculptor Kerim Rzayev died at the age of 58 years.
