Biography and information
Member of the Union of artists of the USSR.
Born in Tbilisi in 1937. With 1956. in 1958. he studied at the Tbilisi art school, after which entered Armenian Academy of arts.

1973. and 1975. – diploma at the exhibition in Valorise (France)
1983 – first prize at the exhibition in Florence (Italy)
1985 – at the Art Academy in Saint Petersburg (Russia)
1992 - participation in several exhibitions ”Eastern pottery” (Philadelphia,Pitsburg, Atlanta, new York).
1998 – at the Palais des Nations (Geneva, Switzerland)
The work of van Soghomonian is stored in the Museum of modern art in Yerevan, in the national Museum of Sardarapat, in the collection of the Ministry of culture of Armenia, the national gallery of Armenia, Museum of applied art in Moscow, the international Museum of ceramics in Florence, the international ceramic Museum in Hungary, Museum of ceramics, Romhild (Germany) and in several exhibition halls in Germany.
