From 1800 he studied architecture at the Academy of fine arts and simultaneously worked as an "architectural assistant" in St. Petersburg, participating in the construction of buildings of the Medico-surgical Academy and the Kazan Cathedral. In 1805-1814 she has served as an architect in Orenburg. Among built according to his projects, Orenburg buildings – the current music school No. 1 and the Museum of fine arts. From February 1815 he was the architect of the Yekaterinburg mining district, and then the Ural mountain Board. They constructed and reconstructed a large number of the factory, religious and private buildings.
