Ivanovich Salnikov

A tradesman, painter, traded with enamel in the shop of the merchant F. M. Zemsky. In 1855, the Academy of arts for a portrait on enamel of Professor A. P. Bryullov was awarded the title of class artist. Of his other famous portraits of Nicholas I, Grand Duchess Maria Alexandrovna (1848), Yaroslavl Governor K. M. Poltoratsky (ser. The nineteenth century) and the unknown (State Historical Museum), the miniature depicting the Archangel Gabriel (a copy of a painting of V. L. Borovikovsky, GMZ "Rostov Kremlin"). Received certificate of merit for work presented at the Rostov exhibition of 1880
