Painter. Born in the village of Gunib (Dagestan). Studied at the Fedoskino school of miniature painting (1970-1974). Bright talent of the artist was manifested in a variety of genres: painting, icon painting, miniature, landscape and floral paintings. A lot of fruitful work, successfully experimenting with the form. Since 1980, participates in regional, zonal and international exhibitions. Member of artists Union of Russia (1987). Awarded the Order of Labor Glory III degree and a silver medal VDNH. The work of L. D. Simonovoy are in the Russian Museum of decorative-applied and folk art (Moscow), state Museum "Rostov Kremlin", Museum of the factory "Rostov finift" Museum and exhibition center "ROSIZO" (Moscow), Armoury chamber of the Moscow Kremlin, Sergiev Posad Museum-reserve, Yaroslavl Museum-preserve, Yaroslavl art Museum, as well as in domestic and foreign private collections.
