Abramovich Zilbert

Russia • born in 1909

Training in WAH was held at the faculty of painting.

According to the Donetsk artist Andrey Vasilenko, who knew Ilya Zilbert, “he was a sapper in Hungary saved one of the bridges over the Danube”.

In the postwar years, Zilbert took an active part in the organization of the Association of Stalin's (the previous name of Donetsk — the city of Stalino) artists, he painted portraits and landscapes. According to the same Vasilenko, “all wrote! Painter he was real, but it was jammed”. According to some, his works are in Museum collections of Ukraine and Russia.
