Born on December 1, 1918 in aleshki village of Borisoglebsky district, Voronezh oblast.

In 1950 he graduated from the Repin Institute of arts in the name of I. E. Repin, the workshop of Victor Oreshnikov.

Studied with Veniamin Belkin, Mikhail Bernshtein, Pavel Naumov, Andrey Mylnikov.

Participant of exhibitions since 1950.

Member of the Leningrad Union of artists since 1950.

He painted portraits, genre and thematic compositions, landscapes, still lifes.

Ph. D. (1954). Honored artist of the RSFSR (1970).
