For works Chizhov characteristic distanced, slightly ironic, as if unflappable style. As a rule, they depicted familiar objects or objects of the urban environment that Chyzhov almost never lose their essential integrity: they will not melt, lose shape, do not turn into similarity of. However, sometimes, a strange combination of these items is striking and thought-provoking. Equanimity realistic art style only deepens this surprise and immerses the viewer in a kind of poetic stupor, caused by the mystery represented objectivity. Creativity Chizhov appeals to the thinking viewer, and as a result the painting often resemble puzzles, but puzzles that are completely impossible to unravel, as they raise questions about the very essence of being. In his works Chizhov all the time and tells us about the deceitfulness of visible, its hidden mystery, which we usually don't notice. Thus, the author reminds the viewer that the image of the visible — does not always correspond to the true reality that is hidden from us and is able to appear sometimes in strange combinations and relations of artistic constructions. It is this strange presence of magic and paradox in the works of this author, is an attempt of a certain revolt against the stereotyped and deceptive self-evidence and anonymity in the perception of the ordinary.
