Born in 1943 in the far East.
1959-60s he studied at the art Studio of N.. Pavlyuk at art school. Grekova.
1969 - graduated from Odessa state art College.
Since 1968 participant of city, regional, Republican and international art exhibitions.
1969-73 - live in the city of Navoi, Uzbek SSR. Engaged in painting and monumental-decorative art, participant of exhibitions in Samarkand and Tashkent.
1972 - personal exhibition in the city of Navoi, painting.
1974 - personal exhibition in Kirovohrad, painting, drawing.
1975-1977 - works in Odeska zelentrest, creates a series of garden sculptures for the city.
1975-1976 part in the apartment exhibitions.
Since 1977 works in the Odessa art production plant of the art Fund of Ukraine, an artist-monumentalist.
1977 - accepted to the youth Association in the USSR Union.
1988 - membership in the Union of artists of Ukraine.
The works of Dmitriev are in the collections of Odessa and Zaporozhye art Museum, Ivano-Frankivsk Museum of modern art, in private collections in Ukraine, Poland, USA, Israel, Sweden, France, and Germany.
