Latvia • born in 1934

Born December 16, 1934. After graduating in 1950, seven-year Ostrovenskoe school, he entered the Riga art vocational school № 17, after which, in 1952 he entered the 3rd year of the school of applied art, Riga, Latvian SSR. First participation in an exhibition-exhibition of works by students of the 5th year of school, took place in December 1954. After service in the Soviet army in 1957 and worked as a teacher of painting and drawing in technical school No. 19 g Vitebsk.

In 1963 graduated from art-graphic faculty of Vitebsk State pedagogical Institute imeni S. M. Kirov. Since 1964, he taught painting, drawing, composition at the same Institute, the same year participate in regional and national exhibitions. Since 1966 began to study the different graphic techniques: etching, lithography, xylography.

The constant search for new expressive means, endless experimental creative work has contributed to the creation of own ways of engraving on cardboard, plywood and derevoobrabotki plate, collage method of engraving on cardboard and floatopia. Striving for emotional and artistic expression of the works was carried out dozens of samples, was used complex techniques, chemical properties of dyes, their interaction in various combinations and unexpected materials.

Experimental research work is summarized in the methodical manuals for students: monotype, engraving on cardboard(two pieces), paratyphi (a term the author). Researched and developed various ways of aquatopia, methods of monotype, watercolor, oil and offset-printing inks, scratchboard, prints on plywood.

In 1970, he underwent training at the Academy of Arts of the Latvian SSR in Riga at the faculty of graphics. Do a full course of academic programs chart under the guidance of leading graphic artists of Latvia: Professor P. Upitis and Professor A. Apena. Since 1975, participated in international exhibitions of bookplates in Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Italy, Belgium, England, Austria and Germany.

In 1981 opened the first personal exhibition in šiauliai, Lithuanian SSR. In 1984 was awarded the "Vydatnìk aswathy Narodnaya Volya". In 1985-1986 trained in BGTHE in Minsk at the Department of graphics of Professor V. P. Sharangovich. Since 1987 member of USSR Union of artists. From 1991 to 1993 Professor of higher pedagogical school in Zielona góra (Poland).
