Ritum Ivanov studied at the Department of painting of the Latvian Academy of arts (1987 – 1994).
The artist has participated in exhibitions since 1987. His work has been exhibited in all the most important exhibitions of Latvian contemporary artists in the last decade (in Latvia, Russia (Moscow), France (Paris), Estonia (Tallinn), Germany (Bremen)).
Most of the 14 personal exhibitions are organized in Riga.
