Biography and information

In 1932 he graduated from the workshop of Figurative painting of G. Elias in Latvian Academy of art with degree work "In the cafe".

Since 1929 he has been an active participant of exhibitions Association of artists “Zaļā vārna”. F. Mills participated in all exhibitions organized by the Foundation of Culture.

Personal exhibition is organized in Riga (1943) and 10 exhibitions after 1944, organized in exile.

In 1950 – 60 years, he actively participated in exhibitions of the group of four.

In 1944, F. Milts emigrated to Germany in 1951 – in the United States.

In 1960, the artist received a prize from the Culture Fund of Latvians in North America.

He led a group of new Yorkskih Latvian artists (1984 – 92). F. Mills was an honorary member of the Association of Latvian painters of America.
