Alexandrovna Vinogradova (Benoit)

Russia • 1936−1986

(1936, Leningrad – 1986, Moscow).

The daughter of architects Marianne's Ludwigovna Schroeter (Vinogradova) and Alexander Vinogradov (1904-1972). Sister – artist Ekaterina Vinogradova (Kundin; b. 1946).

Studied at art history Department of the historical faculty of Leningrad state University. From 1957 with her husband artist Ilya Sergeyevich Glazunov (b. 1930) lived in Moscow, where he graduated from graphic Department of the Polygraphic Institute. Designed books; worked in the technique of linocut; wrote watercolor still lifes. Researched the history of the Russian costume ("Russian costume". M., 1987). He created sketches of costumes for theatrical productions: "Prince Igor" (1980, German state Opera, Berlin), "Masquerade" (1981, in Odessa academic theatre of Opera and ballet), the Queen of spades (1982, Berlin), "the legend of the invisible city of Kitezh and the maiden Fevronia" (1983, the State academic Bolshoi theatre of the USSR, Moscow).

Children – artists Ivan Ilyich Glazunov (b. 1969) and Vera I. Glazunov (b. 1973).
