Anatolievich Pavil

Born in Odessa. In 1892 he moved to Paris and settled in Montmartre, where he lived all his life. Studied under Bouguereau and A. E. Detaila. Wrote impressionistic landscapes, genre scenes of street life of Montmartre, executed pen drawings. Exhibited in the salon Islands of French artists, the salon d'automne and the Salon of Independent (1905 – 1906). From 1906 to 1929 he held solo exhibitions in galleries G. Petit and Bernheim, 1933 – in the gallery J. Charpentier. Received the silver medal of the salon d'automne (1930 and 1931). He was awarded the Legion of honor. Presented at the National Museum of modern art in Paris.
