In the period between the two world wars one of the most talented Hungarian sculptors were Laszlo Meszaros. His name soon became known among both connoisseurs and prominent figures of art. He followed the bright socialist views and in 1935 emigrated to the Soviet Union, so the official circles of the Horthy of Hungary were quick to forget him and to forget his art.

Art historian Sandor Conte for the first time introduces in detail experts and specialists with the life and work of a talented Hungarian sculptor.
