Graduated From Moscow. University (1898), and later studied at hood. the studios in Paris and Naples. Lived in St. Petersburg - Leningrad. A participant in exhibitions from 1909. The author of sculptural compositions (including "Run", 1912; "Mother", 1913). He taught art history at the Repin Institute of arts in Leningrad state University and, from 1931 Professor. Tr. in Russian and Sov. art.
