Student of the Academy of arts from 1873, Received medals in 1876 – 2 silver; in 1878, 1 silver and 2 gold for the program: "the Project of the Museum for art and craft works with school". In the same year he graduated from the scientific course. 31 Oct 1879 – the title of class artist of 1 degree for the program: "nursing home on the 1,000 enlisted men and 50 officers"; in 1883 the title of academician.
