Student of the Academy of arts since 1868, Received a medal in 1876, a small incentive; in 1877 – a large incentive for "project stone 4-storey building with shops"; in 1878 – 2 gold for the program: "the Project of the Museum for art-craft works, school with it." In 1879 he graduated from the course Sciences.
