Biography and information

He was born in 1929. in the village of Dildine Pskov region in a peasant family. All life worked in collective farm "Red beach"in the village of Tatishchevo. Was known as a jovial, spirited accordion player, a master craftsman. The first wooden figurines of animals and birds began cutting in the 1970s, the Size, the texture, the configuration of the piece of wood or root prompted a particular topic. So were born the birds, dogs and bears, elephants and walruses, goats, turtles and cats. Their size is impressive, shape is concise and solid. Boldly connected the tree with all kinds of materials. Jobs often have the coloring done quickly, improvisational, almost casually. Works were exhibited in many exhibitions in Pskov. In 2000 personal exhibition took place in Moscow in the Museum of naive art. Works are kept in the Pskov Museum-reserve, the Museum of naive art in Moscow, Museum-reserve "Tsaritsyno", and private collections.
