A graduate of the Academy of arts from 1 June 1824 Received medals: in 1826 – 2 silver; in 1827 – the same; in 1829 – 1 silver; in 1830 found worthy to receive 2 gold medals for "the project of the Church of the papal houses, and the solemn monument"; in the same year he received the diploma of 1 degree, and was left at the Academy to improve, at the expense of the Department of Mining and Salt Affairs.
