Student of the Academy of fine arts since 1837 Received medals: in 1841 – 2 silver; in 1844 – 1 silver; in 1847 – 2 gold for the software project: "Fair"; in 1850 – 1 gold for the "draft public promenades". In 1847 the title of artist XIV class; in 1850, he was sent abroad pensioner of the Academy of arts. In 1858, recognized as an academician for the "project of the provincial Noble Assembly". In 1863, raised to the rank of Professor for the "national project of the Russian Museum".
