Anton (Anatole) p. Solomukha (FR. Anton Solomoukha, was born November 2, 1945 in Kiev, Ukraine, USSR) is a French artist and photographer of Ukrainian origin, foreign member of the Academy of arts of Ukraine. Since 1980 works in the field of narrative-figurative painting. Since 2000 is engaged in photo projects. He is known for discovering a new genre in contemporary photography — "photo-painting", which in its multifigure stage settings combines the photographic image with beautiful looking.

 

Born in the family of the Soviet party intellectuals. His father, Pavel Davidovich Solomukha, the participant of the great Patriotic War, in 1943, became inspector of pedagogical staff of Ukraine Secretariat N.With. Khrushchev. His mother, Galina Von Krigin, teacher.

Upon high school graduation and compulsory service in the army entered the Kyiv art Institute, Department of Restoration of icons, where closely acquainted with the philosophy of religion. Accepted into the Studio of the academician Tatiana Yablonska. Graduated as muralist in 1973.

His worldview is influenced by such masters as theatrical designer Michael Frankel, film Director Sergei Paradzhanov, writer V. P. Nekrasov, etc.

In 1971, a daughter Christina.

From 1975 to 1978 his work and opposition to political censorship attracted the attention of the authorities. Repeatedly called in the KGB.

In 1978 emigrated to France, where he lives in Paris so far.
