Alexander Shevchenko (1883-1948) — Russian and Soviet painter and graphic artist, art theorist, avant-garde.

From 1898 to 1908 he studied at the school of industrial art to them. Stroganov.

C 1905 to 1906 in the Paris Academy of R. Julien and E. Carrera.

From 1908 to 1909, studying at the Moscow school of painting, sculpture and architecture where his teachers were A. Arkhipov and K. A. Korovin.

AV Shevchenko was the participant of exhibitions Association "World of art", "Donkey's tail", "Union of youth", "Makovets", "Society of Moscow artists".
