Painter. Member of the Union of artists of the USSR.

Born p. Kez, Udmurt ASSR. People's Artist Of Russia. Awarded the Silver medal of the USSR Academy of Arts.

In 1957-1962 he studied at the Sverdlovsk art College, in 1962-1968 he was in MGHI them. V. I. Surikov (workshop of B. V. Ioganson). Diploma thesis "In difficult years" was exhibited at the 8th all-Union exhibition of works of students of art institutes of the USSR and at ENEA (awarded bronze medal). In 1970 he joined the Union of Artists of the USSR.

Author of genre paintings of military, historical, and social topic. A milestone for the artist work "In difficult years" (1968), "the Militia of the red guard" (1969), "Red Pahari" (1977), "the Son" (1982), "days of Victory" (1985). Master of lyrical landscape (series "On motifs of the North" 1994-1997).

Multiple member of the famous exhibition "the Soviet Russia", "Bolshaya Volga". Personal exhibitions took place in Cape Verde (1994, 1996), Baltimore (USA, 2004), Hong Kong (China, 2006).

Works are in State Tretyakov Gallery, art museums and galleries in Kaliningrad, Donetsk, Krasnodar, Cheboksary, Omsk, Izhevsk, Krasnoyarsk.
