Czech by nationality, was educated at the Prague art-industrial Academy. In 1889, when in Kharkov was opened the decorative art school Borodaevsky, Trail was invited to teach painting, the composition and materials technology.

In the spring of 1919 he participated in the First joint selling exhibition, which presents works of professional artists, self-taught, and children. In 1920 he collaborated with G. Petnikova edited by the magazine “Journey of creativity”.

Subsequently returned to his homeland, Czechoslovakia.
