Graphic artist, painter. Born August 25, 1939 in the village Deakovo Kurgan region. Died 13 Jun 1976 in Kurgan.

He studied at the picturesque pedagogical Department of the Sverdlovsk art College named. Ivan Shadr (1958 – 1963).

Since 1965 – member of the Union of artists. He was elected Chairman of the Kurgan branch of the Union of artists, delegate of the III Congress of artists of the RSFSR, the IV Congress of the USSR Union.

He worked primarily in watercolors. Bright original artist. His work is distinguished by an emotional, often dominant role of color, expressive forms, daring compositional decisions.

Since 1966 – participant of the exhibition of works by young artists; participant in regional exhibitions (1964, 1967, 1969, 1974), Union (Leningrad, 1969; Moscow, 1972; Minsk, 1975; Moscow, 1978), Republican (Moscow, 1967; Moscow, 1970; Moscow, 1972; Moscow, 1975), and foreign (Cuba, 970; Yugoslavia, 1972; NRB, 1973; Korea, 1974; MNR, 1974, NRB, 1975). Personal exhibition A. M. Petukhov took place in 1976 in Kurgan and in 1978 in Moscow at the Central House of artists.

Works are kept in the Kurgan regional art Museum (KOHM.) (the"Snowdrops", 1967; "Channel", 1968; "the Hooters", 1968; "the Fabulous Karelia", 1970; "Karelian village", 1969; "Yachts", 1969; "Kovda", 1968; "North", 1969; "Morning", 1976; "still life with a mortar", 1974; "In the valley of Nurek",1971; "Otradnoe", 1971; "Memories.
