Diffine-Christie Valentina Mikhailovna (1918-2010) - student of S. Gerasimov, a bright representative of the Moscow school of painting. Born in Moscow. 1937 - Graduated from the Moscow Art College “In Memory of 1905”. 1946 - Graduated from the Moscow Art Institute. Surikov. 1957 - Joined the Ministry of Agriculture. Diffine-Christie was formed as an artist in the prewar years. In that creative period, she was strongly influenced by her husband, Yevgeny Vasilyevich Diffine, whom S. Gerasimov described as the “main korovinist,” the continuer of the traditions of the great Russian painter K. Korovin. Unfortunately, the early death in evacuation in Samarkand interrupted his bright but short career. As a result of long searches, by the 60s of the last century, Diffine-Christy finds his own unique and well-recognizable style: light, airy, as if dissolving in a fantastic mirage and almost absorbing object outlines.
