Was born in 1974. He studied at the Academy of arts of Brera (Milan). His teacher was the world-famous artist Luciano Fabro. After graduating from the Academy he received the degree of doctor of art Sciences and art history.

one of the most promising living artists of Italy. Manuel's Bonfanti was born in Bergamo, near Milan. From early childhood he began to study painting. His parents, noticing the child's talent, sent him to the art school of his native city. Then, he moved to Milan and for six years was educated at the Academy of fine arts, La Brera, located in Milan centre. His teachers were such masters as Luchano Fabro and Alberto Garutti. Manuel's Bonfanti was one of the best and most promising students of his class. After graduating the Academy in 1998, with the degree of doctor of fine arts and art history, for a while he worked as a teacher of painting at the school of art in Bergamo.

 

Then, Manuel continued his education abroad at the faculty of Fashion and design. Back in Italy, in addition to painting, he studied stage design of La Scala and other Italian theatres.

Having received such a thorough education at the Academy, and, as a result of his experiences in his travels around the world, he skillfully mastered many styles in painting. Currently he has developed his own style, it can be described as symbolism in the confluence of two styles – abstractionism and expressionism.

 

In his works, Manuel also uses unconventional materials, creating works of ceramic, glass, burlap, bitumen, making his paintings almost three-dimensional.

After suffering a tragedy and two years spent in solitude, he studied theology. A great influence in his works began to take characters and signs.
